I’ve been in the communications business for over 30 years. I came to it naturally I suppose, as my father had been an award winning TV and print designer/illustrator before me. I began as an illustrator and eventually segued into design, marketing, advertising and promotion. Gradual overall changes in the field are common as times move on; but I (well no one, actually) have never seen such a quick, fundamental change in the advertising and marketing landscape as what we are going through at the moment. Traditional print, radio and TV mediums are suffering lose of revenue as the web becomes a more powerful, high value ROI delivery source of choice. And it’s social media that is driving this change.
